As the largest country in Southeast Asia, Indonesia's GDP will exceed US$1.3 trillion in 2022, continuing to rank first among Southeast Asian countries, with an increase of US$130.7 billion compared to 2021, a growth rate of 11.02%. On January 2, 2023, the world's largest free trade agreement "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP) officially entered into force for Indonesia, and therefore Indonesia became China's third largest trading partner in ASEAN, after Vietnam and Malaysia.

After research on consumers in the Indonesian market, Chinese products are widely recognized by Indonesian consumers in terms of price advantage, product design and quality.
