No-Tobacco Day DE&E’s Acting

It is the 29th World No-Tobacco Day today (May 31, 2016). DE&E urges the public area no more tobacco and kitchens no fumes. By advocating employees to run along the West Lake in Hangzhou, DE&E attracts lots of people to participate.

It has been 5 years since DE&E carries out this kind of public welfare activity. The theme is still “‘Smoke’ is good for health” which is printed on the employee’s T-shirt. And on the background wall of mainstream entrances of the railway stations, the DE&E brand image is shown .

DE&E wants to tell us: We should not only pay attention to smoke caused by tobacco, but also the smoke we ignore like automobile exhaust, smog, kitchen fumes and etc. These invisible and neglected smokes can be even more harmful than tobacco to us. According to clinical studies, more than 60% women suffer from lung cancer but they are non-smokers and they have long been exposed to kitchen fumes. The probability of getting lung cancer of people with 30 years cooking experiences is 10 times bigger than average person. Fumes contain carcinogens like benzopyrene which can cause lung cancer. And fumes can also do harm to gut and brain.

As a kitchen appliance company, DE&E tries to make people have an accurate understanding of fumes. The theme “‘Smoke’ is good for health” means that range hoods suck away all fumes and bring a non-fume and healthy kitchen. 

To achieve that, DE&E developed “Vertu” series range hoods. The “Vertu” series can change the speed of turbine automatically by using the full-sealed DC motor. And the super large airflow can be up to 450Pa.
